During his long experience in the business, he has sourced many violins by Antonio Stradivari and other Italian masters for celebrated musicians, discerning investors and collectors. From his base in Vienna, J. Paul Anderson also acts as a consultant, providing a professional and comprehensive service.

The Michael Hill International Violin Competition

J. Paul Anderson will give a lecture on the life and works of Antonio Stradivari on 3rd June at this year's Michael Hill International Violin Competition. Strad.biz will sponsor this year's Chamber Music prize.

Violin Exhibition in Salzburg

Strad.biz presented a Stradivari and Guarneri del Gesu violin Exhibition in Salzburg on 7th May, in collaboration with Sotheby's of London. The eminent violinist Benjamin Schmid performed works by Bach and Ysaye on instruments by each maker. Timothy Ingles of Sotheby's has given a talk on Stradivari and Guarneri, closed with an introduction to violin investment.
